Purpose
The main component of HY-1801 is the chelating form of titanium acetylacetonate, which is stable at room temperature. During the use process, with the evaporation of the solvent, titanium acetylacetonate can be combined with the active groups in the substrate, ink, and coating body such as: -OH,- COOH, -NH 2 , -CONH 2 , and -SH undergo cross-linking reactions to form bridges and increase the molecular weight, thereby improving many properties such as heat resistance, chemical resistance, water resistance, and dryness. The bridging effect of resin and substrate through titanate can improve the adhesion of ink and paint.
Application areas:
1. The action of phenolic antioxidants and titanium chelate will cause the color to darken. To avoid such problems, for example, aluminum chelate is recommended for white ink, transparent ink and light-colored topcoat.
2. HY-1801 is a strong chelating agent, which is easy to chelate with metals, so it is recommended to store it in plastic drums.
Pproduct characteristics
1. Improve the adhesion of inks and coatings to substrates (pretreated plastics, aluminum foil, metal, glass).
2. Improve the scratch resistance, water resistance, solvent resistance and boiling resistance of inks and coatings.
3. Improve the drying speed, surface gloss and dispersion of pigments of inks and coatings.
How to use:
1. Substrate (plastic, aluminum foil, metal, glass) usually requires pretreatment, such as electric spark, discharge or chemical treatment. The treated substrate will produce active groups such as -OH and -COOH.
2. Resins such as PA, NC, PU, PVB, CAB, CAP, EVA, PVB, etc. These resins contain active groups such as -OH, -COOH, -NH2 etc.
3. Adding amount: 0.5-3% (resin solid content)
4. Adding time: It is recommended to add in the later stage of ink and paint manufacturing, the temperature is below 40°C. The substrate must be pre-treated with a surface tension above 36-38 dynes.
5. The processing ink must be dried at 60°C for 1 minute to allow the titanate to react with the substrate.
