application:
1. This product can improve the adhesion between epoxy resin and substrate, and improve the electrical performance and wet electrical performance of epoxy resin electronic materials, potting materials and printed circuit boards.
2. As a surface treatment agent for inorganic fillers, this product is suitable for silicon powder, glass beads, aluminum hydroxide, clay, talc powder, wollastonite, white carbon black, quartz powder, metal powder, etc.
3. This product is used in water-based coatings such as acrylic and polyurethane. It can be used as an adhesion promoter and crosslinking agent to improve the adhesion strength, water resistance, abrasion resistance and scrub resistance of the coating. Compared with 560, this product can achieve a longer storage period in water-based resin.
KH-78 silane provides an adhesion-promoting effect that can be stored stably without yellowing, while enhancing physical properties in emulsions and water-based adhesive/sealant systems. At pH 6-8.5, KH-78 silane performs better in carboxyl-containing emulsions (acrylic acid, styrene butadiene polyurethane, etc.).
KH-78 silane as an adhesion promoter or cross-linking agent can improve water resistance and wet adhesion, and has good storage stability. It can be used in the following water-based one-component systems:
• Laminating adhesives for automobiles • Laminating adhesives
for furniture
• Flocking adhesives
In these applications, the use of KH-78 silane can achieve the purpose of replacing two-component water-based adhesives with one-component systems . The benefits of silane-crosslinked water-based one-component systems are reduced chipping, improved process stability and reduced crosslinker toxicity.
When KH-78 silane is used as an adhesion promoter in water-based systems, such as acrylic sealants, it can continue to significantly improve water-based adhesion performance.
Adhesive properties
KH-78 silane can enhance wet and dry adhesion. Compared with the silane-free reference, adding 1 part by weight (or about 0.4%) KH-78 can significantly improve the peel strength without yellowing.
Storage stability
KH-78 silane is specially developed to enhance the bonding performance, and has no negative impact on the storage stability of adhesives or sealants. The formulation after aging for 4 weeks at 500C shows that the change in viscosity is similar to the reference without silane, and is significantly smaller than the current silane use technology. In general, due to storage stability issues, silane can only reflect its performance advantages in high solids and solvent-based systems, but it limits the use of acrylic emulsions. KH-78 silane effectively eliminates this limitation, making future storage-stable silane crosslinking technology possible, and in turn obtaining excellent adhesion properties.
Elongation
Traditional silane technology has a negative effect on elongation, while KH-78 silane can maintain the elongation of the resin itself.
Tear strength
While the effect of silane on elongation is improved, its increase in tear strength is also retained.
Durability Endurance
due to elongation and tear strength, currently available silane technology and silane-free reference.
Recommended addition amount
If the bonding strength is to be enhanced, the recommended initial addition amount is 1 part by weight or 0.4% in a 65% solids emulsion.
If it is used as a crosslinking agent, it may require a higher amount of addition, and more than 2.5 parts by weight may affect the storage period.
