Adhesion promoter and cross-linking agent for water-based wood lacquers, water-based adhesives and sealants
Product introduction:
JSC-1188 provides stable storage without yellowing adhesion promotion effect , while enhancing in emulsion and water-based adhesives/sealing Physical properties in the glue system. When JSC-1188 is used as a cross-linking agent or adhesion promoter, it can improve water resistance and wet adhesion, and has good storage stability.
The main advantages:
• good wet and dry adhesion, will not yellowing
• enhance tensile strength
• while retaining elongation performance
• enhance tear strength and durability resistance
• consistent appearance before and after aging
• Improve the water resistance of cured materials
When the pH value is 6-8.5, JSC-1188 performs well in carboxyl group-containing emulsions (acrylic acid, styrene butadiene polyurethane, etc.).
As an adhesion promoter or cross-linking agent, JSC-1188 can be used in the following water-based one-component systems:
• Laminating adhesives for automobiles
• Laminating adhesives for furniture
• Flocking adhesives
For these applications, use JSC-1188 to To achieve the purpose of replacing the two-component water-based adhesive with a one-component system. The benefits of silane-crosslinked water-based one-component systems are reduced chipping, improved process stability and reduced crosslinker toxicity.
As shown below, JSC-1188 can continue to significantly improve water-based adhesive performance when used as an adhesion promoter in water-based systems such as acrylic sealants.
Bonding performance
Can enhance wet and dry adhesion. Compared with the reference without this product, adding 1 part by weight (or about 0.4%)
JSC-1188 can significantly improve the peel strength without yellowing.
Storage stability
JSC-1188 is specially developed to enhance the bonding performance, and has no negative impact on the storage stability of adhesives or sealants.
The formulation after 4 weeks of aging at 500C shows that the change in viscosity is similar to the reference without JSC-1188, and is significantly smaller than the current silicone application technology.
In general, due to storage stability issues, silicones can only reflect their superior performance in high-solids and solvent-based systems, but limit the use of acrylic emulsions. JSC-1188 effectively eliminates this limitation, making it possible to store silicon cross-linking technology in the future, and then obtain better adhesion.
Elongation
Traditional technology has a negative impact on elongation, and JSC-1188 can maintain the elongation of the resin itself.
While the effect of tear strength on elongation is improved, its enhancement of tear strength is also retained.
Durability.
JSC-1188 will not cause yellowing.
Even if the prepared sealant is aged at 500C for 4 weeks, it still maintains the linking ability.
If you want to enhance the bonding strength, the recommended initial addition is 1 part by weight or 0.4 in a 65% solids emulsion.
If used as the only cross-linking agent, it may require a higher amount of addition, more than 2.5 weight may affect the storage period.
